The role

As a Bodyshop Prepper, you will be responsible for preparing classic Range Rover bodywork for painting, ensuring all surfaces are meticulously prepped to achieve a flawless finish. You will work closely with the paint and bodywork team, playing a key role in the restoration process.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    Main Responsibilities 

    Surface Preparation: Sanding, priming, and filling panels to create a smooth base for painting.

    Panel Inspection & Repair: Identifying and rectifying minor imperfections, dents, or inconsistencies.

    Masking & Protection: Masking off areas to prevent overspray and ensure clean paint lines.

    Use of Tools & Equipment: Operating sanders, fillers, and primers to prepare body panels.

    Rust Treatment & Prevention: Ensuring all surfaces are properly treated to prevent future corrosion.

    Final Checks: Inspecting prepped surfaces to ensure they meet high-quality standards before painting.

    Health & Safety Compliance: Following workshop safety guidelines, including correct handling of materials and PPE usage.

  • Skills & Qualifications:

    Previous experience as a Bodyshop Prepper, Panel Beater, or Paint Technician in a high-end or classic vehicle restoration environment.

    Strong knowledge of bodywork preparation, including sanding, filling, and priming techniques.

    Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to achieving a flawless finish. 

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Experience working with classic or prestige vehicles (preferred but not essential).

    Knowledge of paint systems, materials, and application techniques (beneficial).

    Full UK driving licence.
